Using Meinberg for clock sync with digital modes.

For those hams having decode problems in FT8 (or any other digital mode), I find that Meinberg works very well.

Just be sure to turn off Microsoft’s time setting.

Window 7/64 Ultimate:

Right click on the time display in the lower right corner of your screen

Left click on Adjust date/time

Select Internet Time

Select Change settings…

Uncheck Synchronize with an Internet time server

Click OK

Click OK

Download and install Meinberg

When you get to Configuration File Settings

Check Create an initial configuration file with the following settings:

Want to use predefined public NTP servers (see www.pool.ntp.org)? Choose

Select North America

Next

Check Use SYSTEM account

Close out Meinberg

On the internet go to https://time.is

This will check you computer clock.
